Exciting scandinavian Mother & Child private label seeking funding to grow the business module globally out of MENA region.
PROPOSAL SUMMARY:
L***** is a private label concept that we created from scratch and is currently in its infancy but nevertheless with a bright future. We started the concept in January 2010, and it’s been very hard work since.
We currently offer the following products: Baby Carrier - Classic series, Baby Carrier - Special series, Nursing Cover - classic series, Nursing cover - Limited series, Bibs – Bandana series, Bids – Feeding series, Blanket – classic, and our star product; Pacifiers – personalized, design, and statement types.
All these products are present in UAE market today. Moreover, we have 3 new products to be launched during Q1 2012 and 5 others later in 2012. These products will all be mass consumer products, not niche.
We currently have a negligible competition on the above products since our SKUs are truly different and well priced. (Priced positioning: middle class, middle class+)
While consumers, be it GCC nationals or expats, grew tired of the same products in this market, L*****’s vision was to bring a fresh Scandinavian touch - and innovations when possible - to the MENA consumers, hence our products are truly uncommon in terms of design and function to this part of the world. We don’t have patented products at the moment. That said, we have created 1 innovative product (baby harness) that is being finalized to be patented soon.
Target Market: We currently have presence in UAE and planning expansion to GCC & Levant is 2012. That said, we also plan to target India in 2013 and beyond.

Investment: As L***** brand turned from a baby to a child, we currently need to raise further capital to grow it to its full potential, ‘a global Mother & Child brand’. The investors’ capital will be split into 2 parts: 50% will be acquired by co-founders and the other 50% will be used for the following: Company incorporation, GCC operation set-up & expenses, new product R&D, product manufacturing, purchase equipments, and recruit talented team such as marketing & sales. Moreover, and in order to maximize revenue, benefit from our European association and minimize operation cost, we aim to become exclusive agents of innovative west european brands that don't have presence in the ME region.
MANAGEMENT TEAM:
Birgitte: Co-founder. Danish national and mother of 2 children. Birgitte studied Marketing and took design courses in the UK. She is very passionate on design and fashion which rendered very useful in the creation of the brand. She currently heads the products R&D, Design, as well as B.D & Public Relations matters.
Piero: Co-founder. Lebanese national that grew up in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Father of 2 holds a BA degree in Advertising & Marketing and over 13 years of working experience in the GCC countries. Piero is heading the operation as well as closely overseeing the sales & marketing activities.
Investor: silent investor - or active partner if skills are suitable.
RETURN ON INVESTMENT:
We're selling 40% company shares for the value of US$494,400. (This includes L***** + Scandinavian House trading shares with equal shares). The above figure was achieved based on the average net income from forecasted 3 years (2012 to 2014) multiplied by 4. The initial investment and investor goodwill, etc. were disregarded in order to make it more appealing to investors. Forecasted investor ROI : 2012: US$ 33,000 / 2013: US$ 358,710 / 2014: US$ 602,000. Plus a very high brand value
